Appointment System

We are always trying to improve the service we provide to our patients and to this end we have introduced a new appointment system.

• With the new system patients can book an appointment up to 14 days in advance to see a GP or to see a nurse.
• The first few appointments in the morning, a few mid-morning appointments and the last three appointments in the evening with the doctors on duty on the days are given in advance.
• The rest of the appointments are booked on the day.
• When all the bookable appointments have gone for the day there is a doctor or nurse practitioner on triage who will deal with urgent cases that cannot wait for an appointment.

Mondays and Tuesdays are our busiest days. If it is not urgent to see a doctor on Monday or Tuesday, please make an appointment for a different day. At present this system will only apply to appointments with the doctors. The nurses will maintain their present system which is bookable in advance. We regret that this change has caused so much confusion. In future if we make any changes to the appointment system we will endeavor to inform you all through this website and a newsletter and notices in the waiting area.
